Reporting to the Director, Planning & Buying, Branded Jewelry & Timepieces the Buying Assistant will be supporting the Buyer to maintain the assortment through Item creation & maintenance, Purchase Order creation & maintenance, delivery management, assisting replenishment/novelty purchases & supporting sold order requests. Working in a fast paced environment, you will be eager to learn, proactive with a keen eye for detail & a well-organized approach.


To do so, the Buying Assistant will be expected to…

  • UPC creation & management – responsible for maintaining product attributes

    PO creation & management

  • Communicate with vendors on delivery management, order status, invoicing, providing product imagery, quality control & returns

  • Assist the replenishment process and maintenance of assortment plans

  • Assist the RTV process including preparation of export documents and vendor follow-up

  • Support E-com store by updating online assortment & liaising with vendors to provide assets

  • Support the co-ordination & communication of sold order requests between retail network & vendors ensuring on-time delivery

  • Establish strong relationships with cross-functional team to better understand merchandising strategies and needs of the business.

  • Provide key administrative support to the Buying team assisting with weekly, seasonal and ad-hoc analysis & reporting

Our ideal candidate has…



  • College or university degree in Business or related field.


  • 1 year of experience in similar role within Retail as a Merchandising/Product Coordinator or Buying Administrator.
  • Recent graduates with internship experience 


  • Excellent organisation skills with attention to detail 
  • Flexible, proactive and enthusiastic
  • Team player with excellent communication skills     
  • Computer literate - good knowledge of Excel
  • Able to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Teamwork
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Bilingual: French and English (spoken/written) is a strong asset
